Raja is a Program Coordinator in the University of Arizona’s Health Sciences Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (OEDI). She joined the OEDI in May of 2019 and believes in the unending need to dedicate herself to the service of her community through the development and delivery of the programs offered in the UAHS – Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
Within the OEDI she works on Programs to Increase Diversity among Individuals Engaged in Health-Related Research, collectively referred to as PRIDE. This initiative is sponsored by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and focuses much of its support on junior-faculty in the Advanced Respiratory Research for Equity program.
Raja received her bachelor’s degree at the College of Agriculture and Life Science in Family Studies & Human Development in 2016, and recently earned her Master of Public Administration at the School of Government & Public Policy this May 2021. Upon completion of the MPA program, Raja hopes to transition into a program/policy analyzation role within the private sector so she may aid in public awareness of social issues and continue her passion for service.
