2020 Rombach Outstanding Student Award

The Lionel Rombach Outstanding Student Award is selected every year by MPA and MPP faculty who believe exemplifies both academic excellence and a commitment to the public service values that form the foundation of our programs.

This year, we are excited to announce the recipient of the Rombach Outstanding Student Award is Alesia Ash!

Alesia has been an outstanding student since starting the Master of Public Administration program back in 2018. Beyond the classroom, she has been an excellent classmate and has demonstrated a commitment to public and community service. She aspires to add a law degree to her impressive resume after earning an MPA.

When about her plans beyond law school, Alesia stated:

"I look forward to using the skills and experiences gained in the MPA program to further my career in the public sector. I am particularly excited to continue working across federal, state, and local boundaries to help find innovative solutions to complex problems. The MPA program has opened doors to many new opportunities that would not be available otherwise. I know I am prepared to take on new challenges in the public sector thanks to the relevant curriculum, engaged faculty and staff, and amazing teamwork and insights from fellow students. Bear Down!"

Congratulations, Alesia!
